Snooker is one of the UK's most-watched sports — and the World Snooker Championship at the Crucible in Sheffield is a springtime institution. With coverage split between Eurosport and BBC, and the full ranking tour on Eurosport and Discovery+, following snooker throughout the season means multiple subscriptions. IPTV simplifies everything into one.
Where Is Snooker Shown in the UK?
Snooker in the UK is primarily broadcast on Eurosport, which holds the rights to all World Snooker Tour ranking events including the World Championship, UK Championship and The Masters. The BBC shows free-to-air coverage of the World Championship and selected other events. Eurosport is available through Discovery+ and as part of various TV packages. Smooth Stream IPTV includes Eurosport 1, Eurosport 2 and all BBC channels — giving you complete snooker coverage.
Watch the World Snooker Championship Live on IPTV
The World Snooker Championship at the Crucible is 17 days of live snooker from late April to early May. Eurosport and the BBC share coverage, with Eurosport carrying the most live table hours — often showing both tables simultaneously. With Smooth Stream IPTV you watch every session live, from the first round through to the final frame of the final, on any device.
UK Championship and The Masters on IPTV
The UK Championship in York and The Masters at Alexandra Palace complete snooker's Triple Crown. Both are broadcast live on Eurosport with BBC highlights coverage. Smooth Stream includes Eurosport in full, so both tournaments are covered from the first ball to the trophy ceremony.

See plansFull Ranking Tour on IPTV
The World Snooker Tour has expanded massively and now features ranking events throughout the year across the UK, Europe, China and beyond. Eurosport carries live coverage of most ranking events. With Smooth Stream IPTV you follow Ronnie O'Sullivan, Judd Trump, Mark Selby and the rest of the tour from event to event — every ranking event, all year long.
Watch Snooker on Any Device
Smooth Stream IPTV works on all the devices snooker fans use:
- Smart TV — Crucible sessions on the big screen, table and all
- Amazon Firestick — via TiviMate or IPTV Smarters Pro
- iPhone or iPad — follow the evening session live from the sofa
- Android phone or tablet — catch up on rankings and watch live wherever you are
- PC or Mac — stream while you work during the World Championship fortnight
Snooker in HD on IPTV
Eurosport broadcasts snooker in full HD, and Smooth Stream carries the HD feed. The green baize, the coloured balls and the precise potting angles all come through in sharp, clear HD — same broadcast quality as watching on a standard Eurosport subscription, without the Discovery+ price tag.
How Much Does It Cost to Watch Snooker on IPTV?
Discovery+ with Eurosport costs £6.99/month or £59.99/year. While that is cheaper than a full Sky subscription, Smooth Stream IPTV at £14.99/month includes Eurosport plus Sky Sports, TNT Sports, Premier Sports and 25,000+ other channels. For snooker fans who also follow football, cricket or golf, IPTV replaces multiple subscriptions with one.
